I am now working full time in the NHS and no longer taking private clients. I have worked with some wonderful people over the past seven years and it has been a privilege to share part of the journeys you have made.
After around 20 years working mainly as a lecturer in Higher Education (at the Universities of Leeds and Hull, with a brief spell in New Zealand, too) and working as a systemic psychotherapist privately for 7 years and on an honorary contract in the NHS for 3 years I took the plunge to go back into the NHS. Some particularly difficult times in the past few years at Hull contributed to this move too, which is a source of some regret and sadness for me.
I’m currently working in a very busy community (Tier 3) Children and Young Person’s Mental Health Service, providing family therapy as well as being involved in duty work and on call. I love the work, and it is fantastic being part of a committed and talented team.
If you are looking for a psychotherapist for individual work in the Pocklington area, I can recommend Lydia Noor and Carole Ashton A bit further out, in Snainton, is Rob Tyson
If you are looking for a systemic family therapist in the East Yorkshire area, I can recommend Sue Petty who is located in Beverley.
Last, but certainly not least, I can highly recommend, based in Scarborough, John Lindley (systemic therapy) and Rosey Tattersall-Lindley (individual therapy) – also their joint work and training on Systemic Progression of Attachment Therapies
